Education Program

Children Peace Initiative Kenya plans to improve the standards of primary education in target areas which have remained poor as compared to the existing national performance index. The Organization is focused on advocacy for marginalized girl child. To kick start the education program and support girl child CPI Kenya have been providing sanitary pads to Samburu and Pokot girls in primary schools and constructed 6 pit latrines for 2 primary schools one among the Pokot and the other in Samburu. Schools in CPI Kenya’s area of operation are generally under resourced and they need learning facilities including construction of new classes and other facilities desks. Enrolment and retention of learners in schools in Arid areas inhabited by the pastoralist communities is still a major concern because of distances to school and availability of boarding facilities and school feeding program.The organization’s strategy is to support schools with infratsructures.
